Content Views helps you to sort the WordPress posts/pages/custom posts by:
ID, title, slug, published date, modified date, menu order.
Content Views Pro improves the sorting feature with more options:
- Drag & Drop
- Random order
- Custom fields
- Post type
- Comment count
To enable sorting, in Filter Settings tab, in Advance section, select the Sort by checkbox.
Then select the sort option you want to use.
You can sort by common options, and one/many custom fields.
To sort by custom fields, under Sort by > Custom Fields, click the Add New button, then:
- select your custom field in “Field Key”
- change the “Value Type” if needed (for example: change to Date if your custom field is a date, change to Number if your custom field is an integer, etc.)
- change “Order” to Descending if you want to sort the list in reverse order
