1. Requirement

There are some plugins/tools which help us to translate themes, plugins.
This awesome plugin Loco Translate will help you to do it most easily.
Please install and activate it. After that, click on “Loco Translate” in dashboard menu to start.

2. Do Translation

a. Select language

In Loco translation page, search for Content Views Pro (or Content Views).
Then click New language:

Then select your language:

You should choose the second option “create in global languages directory languages/plugins/” so your translation will be safe on updating new version of Content Views, Content Views Pro.

b. Translate

There are 3 simple steps to translate any word:
1: Search for the word you want to translate
2: Click on the found word
3: Put the translation

When you finish the translation, please click the Save button.

While adding or editing a View, you can select categories, custom fields, authors… to filter posts. They are site’s resources. Content Views only stores key or ID of them in View settings.
Migrating Views is not enough. You need to migrate these resources too.
To fully backup or migrate a site, you should use a migration plugin here.

Simple Backup, Migrate

To backup, migrate Views (including name, id and all settings of each View), you can follow below steps:

1. Backup/Export

In Administrator Menu, click on Tools >> Export:

In Export page, please select Views, then click download button:

It’s done. You will get XML file which contains all Views data.

2. Import

Now is time to import Views to your live site (or another site).

In Administrator Menu, click on Tools >> Import.
In Import page, select WordPress at bottom of the list:

If this is first time you import data from WordPress, it will show popup to require you to install plugin WordPress Importer, just click Install Now button:

then click button to start importing:

Please choose the XML file you exported before, then click blue button to import:

It will take a little time to finish. Then you will have all Views imported.

With Content Views Pro, you can allow another user role (besides Administrator) to manage the views.
In Content Views > Settings page, please select the role in the User Role dropdown:

(The Administrator always can manage the views, no matter which option is selected)

Here are other roles that might work best for you:

• Editor: somebody who can publish and manage posts including the posts of other users.
• Author: somebody who can publish and manage their own posts.

To do that, in your WordPress admin area, please click the Posts, or Pages, or custom posts menu item.
WordPress will navigate you to the page where you see all the posts, pages, so on.
On that page, you will see a text search field. Please enter this value to the text field, then hit Enter or click search:

[pt_view

It will list all the pages (or posts, custom posts) that are using Content Views.

• With Content Views Pro version, there is a Custom JS field in Content Views >> Settings page where you can add custom JavaScript easily.
• With Content Views Free version, you can install another plugin to add custom JavaScript.

  If you are using any cache plugin, please clear the cache data after adding above code.

• With Pro version, there is a Custom CSS field in Content Views >> Settings page where you can add custom CSS easily.
• With Free version, you can use one of below ways to add custom CSS:
  1. add custom CSS to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, if your theme has Customize feature
  2. create and activate child theme, then add custom CSS to file style.css of your child theme
  3. install another plugin to add custom CSS
  4. add this code to file functions.php of your active theme:
